Publisher’s Weekly highlights the work of Meaty Pleasures‘ publisher Omar Villasana whose Katakana Editores described as “one of the scrappiest and smartest newcomers on the indie publishing scene.” Katakana Editores focuses on great contemporary literature from Latin American in translation and bilingual editions and both Mónica and I (translator of Meaty Pleasures) are thrilled to be part of the KE family.

The occasion was LéaLA—a Spanish-language book fair in Los Angeles organized by the team behind the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL Guadalajara)—which took place August 25–28 at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles.

Thank you, Mónica Lavín, for traveling all the way to LA to represent Meaty Pleasures and sign (I hope!) a lot of books.
